Cadbury’s is a leading global confectionery company with an outstanding portfolio of chocolate, gum and candy brands. Its Irish manufacturing operation is located in Coolock on the northside of Dublin. Cadbury’s needed to reduce the floor space occupied by the Engineering Store in order to increase the size of the production area.
The Solution
Cadburys turned to Storage Systems Ltd to provide a safe, efficient and cost effective modern storage solution which would provide the same storage capacity as the original store but utilising 50% less floor space.
The solution was to provide a Compactus® Two-Tier Dynamic XTR mobile shelving system with shelving on the ground floor and first floor level. The first floor Compactus® Dynamic XTR mobile shelving is situated on a structural steel floor directly above ground floor shelving. This solution provides 250 bays of shelving 2300mm high x 1000mm wide with varying shelf depths to suit engineering small parts. The installation was complete with blue steel decorative panels which blended in to the overall store environment.
